Job Responsibilities - Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Works on multiple applications concurrently as part of a modernization program.
- Manages requests from a problem statement and then develops a solution through to production and support with strong customer involvement and communication.
- Mentoring junior employees and looking for improvements in all processes and developments.
Required qualifications: - 10+ years applied experience
- Hands on experience coding in Java using Spring Boot, React, SQL ideally PostgresSQL.
- Very strong communications and documentation skills. Ability to write Design Documents, Data Flows, User Guides, Presentations and deliver training.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Understanding of Mainframe
- Hands on experience in developing Cloud ready applications for Cloud Foundry or any other industry standard Cloud platforms.
- Proficient in developing & managing web application in Java Micro Services Architecture with Hibernate/JPA and JDBC.
