Clevco Mechanical is seeking an experienced Massachusetts Licensed Plumbing Foreman to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of commercial plumbing projects in the field, lead a crew, coordinate with project management and other trades, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of commercial plumbing projects in the field, lead a crew, coordinate with project management and other trades, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship. This is a hands‑on foreman position. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial plumber who can effectively run a job while also working alongside the crew when necessary. Responsibilities Run commercial plumbing projects from underground/rough‑in through finish and closeout. Supervise and coordinate journeyman plumbers and apprentices. Plan daily and weekly manpower and work activities. Read and interpret plumbing drawings, specifications, details, and schedules. Lay out plumbing systems and provide clear direction to field personnel. Coordinate plumbing work with the GC, other subcontractors, Clevco project managers, and other trades. Identify conflicts and field conditions before they impact the schedule. Coordinate material, equipment, tools, and deliveries required to keep the project moving. Track labor hours and productivity against project expectations. Maintain project schedules and communicate upcoming manpower and material requirements. Attend jobsite coordination meetings when required. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional jobsite. Ensure installations comply with Massachusetts plumbing codes, project specifications, and Clevco quality standards. Perform and oversee testing, inspections, punch‑list work, and project closeout. Train and mentor apprentices and less‑experienced plumbers. Communicate changes in scope, potential change orders, delays, and additional work to project management before proceeding whenever possible. Maintain a good working relationship with general contractors, inspectors, customers, and other trades. Qualifications Current Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber License required. Strong commercial plumbing experience required. Previous experience as a plumbing foreman, lead plumber, or similar supervisory position strongly preferred. Ability to independently run commercial plumbing projects and crews. Strong knowledge of sanitary waste and vent, domestic water, storm drainage, gas piping, plumbing fixtures, equipment, and related commercial plumbing systems. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and coordination drawings. Strong understanding of Massachusetts plumbing codes and commercial construction practices. Ability to plan work ahead and recognize potential problems before they affect the project. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. OSHA certification preferred. What We're Looking For We are not simply looking for an experienced plumber. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a project in the field . The right person should be able to receive a set of drawings and a project schedule, understand what needs to happen, organize the crew, coordinate materials and equipment, communicate with the project manager, and keep the plumbing work moving without requiring constant supervision.
